一個從外交官變成人生教練的故事

從小就嚮往在國外工作,台大政治系、政大外交畢業後考上外交官,曾經在北美、歐洲和亞洲派駐工作,參與多次高層出訪,也造訪過三十多個國家,擔任多個資深主管職,包括派駐多倫多期間負責對當地政府、媒體和學術交流合作等,是一個相當成就感的事,當然繼續待在外交圈發展,尤其女性在未來會有自己的一片天,儘管曾經工作和家人分隔兩地, 過程中家人一直給予滿滿的支持,直到有一天,發現家人健康和小孩成長也有賞味期限...

重新思考成功的定義,和那些不能妥協的價值,以及究竟想要過什麼樣的生活(lifestyle),有了這些反思,調整步調,專研個人成長與潛能開發,也到過哈佛甘迺迪學院接受領導力訓練,開始在社群媒體上分享成功的思維和心法,接受訪問和演講,同時陸續收到一些學員,算是一個happy accident。

在臉書和領英(Liinkedin)等平台經營社群,主持Think Like A Diplomat and Grow Rich社團,提供Value Reacher Academy線上課程和1:1教練式輔導,幫助更多人找到定位、走出迷惘、克服社交恐懼,包括公開演講,培養危機處理的能力,和開拓個人事業等。除教練課程外,協助企業拓展北美市場,鏈結台灣和多倫多兩地新創和教育交流與合作。

育有兩子,分別為14歲和13歲。

當媽媽後思維上的轉變

10 mindset shifts that transformed my life as a mom.

1. Last can be the first

Everyone starts from the bottom. Knowing what kids want over what kids have can take them over the top.

2. Learn to enjoy reading

Kids experience different worlds from the comfort of their home. The quality of a good book can transform an average Joe to Tony Stark in the blink of an eye.

3. Lead by example

Kids won’t do what you want them to do. They learn about life from us. Give them space to try by themselves.

4. Time is gold

Track how kids spend their time. Set priorities is one of the most important lessons I can pass on.

5. The 4D framework (Do-Delete-Defer-Delegate)

Balance work and life could be challenging. Decide what to do according to the importance and urgency.

6. Deep talks

Thoughts and emotions trigger behaviours. Deep talks with kids. The reasons behind the results may surprise you.

7. Embrace fears

Like adults, kids shape their beliefs through past experiences that often limit themselves. Take action even when feeling uncomfortable.

8. Grit over gifts

Kids change schools often, including adapting to new countries. Applaud them for taking on challenges and adjusting to their mistakes.

9. Regular Resets

Take a step back, take a break, and reassess your habits and routines.

10. Optimize your environment

Family is the best asset when you seek support.
